Several Sea Cadet activities can be used in conjunction with the Award.
1) Bronze Pass for AC or MC1 and serve satisfactorily for 6 months after passing the examination. During this period they are to complete a specified task, of at least 15 hours duration, that is of benefit to either the local community or the SCC and is carried out in addition to their usual SCC commitments.
This service should be recorded in the Service (Group One) page of a Cadets D of E Record Book as Community Service and signed by his/her CO.
2).Silver pass for LC or Cdt Cpl and serve satisfactorily for at least 6 months after passing the examination.
3).Gold pass for PO cdt or Cdt Sgt and serve satisfactorily for at least 6 months after passing the examination.
4).Silver and Gold Service should be recorded on the Service (Group Two & Three) page of a cadets record book as Youth Leadership Within Uniformed Organisation (Group 3) and signed by both his/her CO and District Officer.
