Part of Sea Cadet Training comprises of Specialisations and Proficiencies. E.T. (Expedition Training) is a proficiency that encompasses navigation over land and usualy requires some form of overnight camping.
Before progressing to Expedition Leader Training (training where you will eventually lead the group), Basic training must be completed and is attained in stages listed below:

(2). Proficiency
Once these are completed you may move onto the following:
(1). EL6
(2). EL5
(3). EL4
